Sexual health

Sexual health is dealt with by the Infection and Immunity department which cares for both inpatients and outpatients on level 8 of the hospital.  There are walk-in clinics for people who wish to be screened for sexually-transmitted infections.

How to access the service

For the fever clinic a referral letter is required from your GP or consultant.

Genito-urinary patients do not require referrals from GPs or
consultants.

New HIV patients are generally referred via another service; existing
patients are generated from the Genito-urinary service.

The unit has four consultants, a dedicated team of  specialist nurses
and other ancillary staff.
