Falls Awareness Week takes place from 21-25 June 2010. To celebrate this, Ealing Hospital will be holding an awareness day in the main entrance, on Thursday 24 June between 9.30 am and 2.30 pm.
There will be displays and stalls at the hospital where you can come along and find out what we are providing for our patients here and out in the community. Occupational therapists and physiotherapists will be available to answer any questions you may have.
Information leaflets will be available and helpful easy to use assessments can be utilised on the day.

National Falls Awareness Day was set up in 2005 to promote the services and interventions that can help reduce the risk of a fall, and encourage older people to get active in later life. Last year, over 300 organisations, running more than 1,000 events around the UK, helped to make it the most successful year to date. Building on this success, National Falls Awareness Day has been extended to a week-long celebration, which will take place from 21-25 June 2010.
